    The Grand Old Duke.

This is "Duke of York" - classified as an Old, China Rose. Bred in 1894.
Opens with delicate pale buds and turns delightful shades of pale pink as it ages.
China roses play a great part in rose breeding as they give the modern roses their everblooming genes.
    Just a bit of info.
